Keep pro bono care free and fruitful for participants!

YOUR SUPPORT FUNDS A FREE COMMUNITY RESOURCE

("Physical Therapy Discretionary Fund")

DPT Pro Bono Services:

Let’s keep pro bono a free and fruitful experience for participants!

Brief description of services:

SMU Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students participate in a series of integrated courses throughout their program, gaining practical knowledge and skills while providing FREE services to participants from the East Bay. Individuals with neurologic or orthopedic conditions contribute to our students’ education, creating a mutually beneficial service for both students and community members. SMU students, supervised by licensed DPT faculty, provide hands-on treatment, exercise guidance, and health behavior support to community members. These services occur year-round and offer valuable learning opportunities for SMU DPT students.

If you are called to give to PT Scholarships, please know this is another vital area where your support is much needed!

YOUR SUPPORT FUNDS STUDENT EDUCATION

("Physical Therapy Scholarship")

PT Scholarships:

  Let’s fund PT student education!

Scholarship funds help to cover tuition, fees, and living expenses enabling SMU students to focus more on their education and less on holding down a job or taking out student loans.

This scholarship allows me to use my time to invest in leadership courses, attend CSM and CPTA conference next year to network and hear from more amazing people doing amazing things, and continue to pursue leadership positions in the APTA. Thank you for the freedom to pursue my dream.
